Day 46: All of Australia

Omertime

Today is Day 46 of the Omer. Netzach sheb’malchut. Impacting winning by realizing potenial.

On Day 44, we began to explore malchut as the full realization of one’s potential. Few recent NBA players have done a better job of it than Aaron Baynes. 

Baynes was born in New Zealand, but moved to Australia when he was three and plays for the Australian National Team. He eventually found his way to the US for college. When graduated from Washington State at the age of 25, the scouting report on him said:

”Baynes is likely a long shot for the NBA, as there are some very obvious question marks about how he’ll fare against the much more athletic and talented big men that the League is known for.”

Thankfully, Baynes enrolled in the San Antonio School of Popovich. By his third season in the NBA, Baynes had established himself…
